Project Details

We are proud to be a partner of Civitas, working nationally to provide asset management and consultancy services across their national property portfolio. Working closely with the Investment Management Team, our initial role involved a six-month secondment into the Asset Management team in early 2018. Upon establishing a core understanding of the organisation and its purpose, we have continued to provide a series of consultancy services in support of their desire to generate community focused assets that deliver positive social outcomes.

We are engaged by Civitas under an overarching service agreement to provide a wide range of asset management and building consultancy services to monitor, maintain and develop their property portfolio. Our involvement comprises all property-related matters through RIBA plan of work stages 0-7 from inception to completion. This includes but is not limited to, feasibility and design reviews, acquisition advice, party wall matters, advising on lease obligations, post completion work inspections, compliance reviews, contract administration, quality control and sustainability services.

More recently we have supported Civitas in responding to the decarbonisation and net zero agenda through a retrofit and energy saving measures programme across 55 properties in partnership with E.ON.

A key role that we undertake is to monitor the Civitas portfolio to feed into their quarterly reporting. This includes reporting on project value, progress and completion certification status for all properties. We are responsible for the review of the works deeds, advice and collation of statutory compliance information, inspection and certification of works undertaken.

The portfolio is spread across England and Wales and properties are within the care and supported living sector. Our involvement ensures that care providers and developers are adhering to their obligations of providing a safe, warm and dry home environment for their residents, many of whom are vulnerable.
