Friday 27th November was the third annual Baily Garner Technical Quality Summit and this year, for the first time, it was hosted virtually.

The day included updates from our Quality Control Inspectors and Technical Auditors on key things they’ve found over the past year, an update on recent legislation changes and some training on addressing quality issues on site.

Two key slots in the day featured external participants. The first was a round table session where we heard from our clients who had pre-recorded videos about what quality means to them and then joined us virtually for a discussion and Q&A session, led by Managing Partner Andy Tookey. The second featured external speaker Arti Halai, who spoke about ‘The Essence of Quality’ from the perspective of someone outside the construction industry.

Despite the fact that the team couldn’t be in the same room this year, there was great engagement throughout the day, with many taking part in interactive sessions and posing questions to the speakers. Quality is central to everything we do, and the success of this yearly event supports the fact that it’s truly part of our company ethos.
