Life at Baily Garner
In just one year of working with Baily Garner, I have been able to progress from an internship to a permanent role as a Junior Mechanical Engineer. Here, I am equipped with the tools, knowledge and support to excel in my role and the wider industry.
It’s the hands-on learning, camaraderie between colleagues, and opportunities to build professional relationships that motivate me most working at Baily Garner. I feel empowered to go from strength to strength, and my aspiration now is to become a Chartered Senior Mechanical Engineer here.
I joined Baily Garner because they have a great reputation, are very well established and the culture they have nurtured here is inspiring. Once you’re a part of the team, it’s the amazing people that inspire you to stay on. They encourage you to develop individually and as a team in a very supportive environment where you can become the best version of yourself.
My role as Head of CDM has given me a fantastic opportunity to grow a brand-new in-house team, develop new services and take a step forward in my career. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me at Baily Garner.
Baily Garner provides a brilliant support network and learning environment. I am surrounded by a group of like-minded people who always offer a helping hand whenever I face a new challenge. The team has guided me through my degree, all the way to my APC submission, and provided me with the support I need to achieve my goal of obtaining my Building Surveying degree with a pass rate to be proud of.
Working here, I’ve been able to interact with new people both in and outside of the practice, enhancing my confidence and communication skills. What’s more, the care and appreciation Baily Garner has for its people is amazing — they value a healthy work/life balance where staff feel good both mentally and physically, enabling them to thrive.
I owe my professional growth to the continued support of my colleagues here at Baily Garner. In the two years that I have been here, I have had the opportunity to get involved with social housing — something I’m passionate about — and have been promoted from Architect to Studio Lead. I’m excited to continue learning and growing with this amazing team.
The people at Baily Garner are, without a doubt, the most important part of the company. Not only is support always available from those throughout the organisation and across all disciplines, but the ability to continuously improve and evolve regardless of your role or level is unrivalled in this industry. The ethos of collaboration is truly felt by every team member, which helps to support this development.
I’m excited to continue my journey with Baily Garner, growing my skillset and adding more value to the business, all whilst continuing to enjoy my role in expanding our offering within the education sector.
