What is AI-DOMP?
AI Enabled Design Diagnostics and Optimisation System for Mould Prevention (AI-DOMP) is a cutting-edge tool designed to help landlords proactively address properties at risk of damp and mould, as identified by The Housing Ombudsman. Thanks to funding from Innovate UK BridgeAI, we’ve moved from concept development to beta testing, paving the way for commercialisation and subscription-based availability.
Awaab’s Law:
Protecting Renters As highlighted in ‘The King’s Speech,” Awaab’s Law will extend protections to all rented properties, ensuring tenants are safeguarded against unsafe living conditions. Angela Rayner, Deputy Prime Minister and Housing Secretary, emphasised, “We have a moral duty to ensure tragedies like the death of Awaab Ishak never happen again. Landlords cannot be allowed to rent out dangerous homes and shamelessly put the lives of their tenants at risk.”
Well done to our external consultant John Milner, whose expertise in building typologies, damp and mould, energy modelling software and project management has been crucial in making AI-DOMP a robust, scalable, and user-friendly platform. Well done also to David Stubbs, our intermediate sustainability engineer who significantly contributed into the input on the energy modelling. Their dedication has been instrumental in transforming AI-DOMP into an effective tool for landlords to manage and prevent damp and mould issues.
