While the current focus is on damp and mould and emergency hazards, Awaab’s Law will eventually cover all hazards under the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS), except overcrowding. This means landlords must be prepared for a broader scope of responsibilities, from structural safety to fire risks.
